DESIGN FORGE is a partnership of Emma Forge and Tom Forge.

Formed in 2006,  they provide a full design and technical service for the publishing, interactive, software and business worlds.

 

Responsible for many published titles, they offer a full service studio - from simple designs to complete packaged titles, including all photography, design, layout to camera ready artwork.

 

Working with a flexible team of freelance Editors, Illustrators, Photographers, Stylists, Designers and Programmers means they can take on projects large and small.

 

Uniqiuely they both have interactive product experience - from the early days of Multimedia, games software, through web design and now to interactive books.

 

 

Emma trained as a graphic information designer and then spent many years at Dorling Kindersley Books and DK Multimedia as a Senior Designer and Managing Art Editor. While in San Francisco she worked at Clement Mok Designs and subsequently became Art Director at Weldon Owen SF. On return to England she Art Directs photoshoots, designs and packages books and magazines for many international publishers.

 

Tom was one of the founding members of Dorling Kindersley Multimedia, heading up the production and technical teams. In San Francisco he became Publishing Director at Maxis inc managing the teams that produced SimCity and the Sims games. Back in the UK he ran a games software studio for Atari, and then moved into internet development at Tigerteam Software, designing large projects such the Dr Foster online Hospital & Consultant Guides. At Design Forge he does production design, interactive design, digital books, photoshoot management, retouching, technical product specifications and built the website.
